UNA Hope Walks Here: Suicide Prevention Walk

Join us for the University of North Alabama Campus Walk on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Guillot University Center/Amphitheater for the annual Hope Walks Here: Suicide Prevention Walk. Hosted in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as part of the Out of the Darkness Campus Walks program, this walk brings students, faculty, families, and community members together to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Check-in begins at 1:00 PM, and the event kicks off at 2:00 PM. Participants will walk in honor of loved ones, to support those who may be struggling, and to help create a campus culture of care, connection, and hope.
This event is a reminder that hope is real, help is available, and healing is possible. Together, we can break the silence, end the stigma, and show our community that support is always within reach. Whether you walk for someone you love, for yourself, or for those we’ve lost, your presence makes a powerful difference.
Most importantly, no one has to walk alone. When we come together, we send a clear message: you matter, you are valued, and you are never alone.
Register at afsp.org/una and be part of a movement that brings hope to every step. 💙
