Dr. Lawrence J. Nelson Memorial Lecture

The University of North Alabama History Department presents the Dr. Lawrence J. Nelson Memorial Lecture, featuring Dr. Peter Kastor, Inaugural Samuel K. Eddy Professor at Washington University in St. Louis, Associate Dean of Research in Arts and Sciences, and Professor of History and American Culture Studies.
Dr. Kastor will deliver a lecture titled “Western Revolutions: Alabama, Its Neighbors, and the World Turned Upside Down.”
The lecture will take place on February 25, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Florence–Lauderdale Public Library.
