Upcoming Campus Phone Replacement Project

In the coming months, IT Services will begin replacing most desk phones across campus. Our goal is to replace the approximately 800 older phones before the start of the Fall 2026 semester.

If your phone’s model number begins with the number five (5), it is eligible for replacement (e.g., model 5230). The model number appears at the top of the phone, typically in the center. All 5xxx series phones will be included in this upgrade. If your phone’s model number does not begin with 5xxx, or if you do not see a model number starting with 5xxx, it is already a newer model and will not be replaced at this time.

As we work through phone exchanges in each area, we will contact your department’s administrative assistant or your building coordinator to ensure your department/area is informed of the exchange.
