DESCRIPTION:Conversation Partners is a great way for English language learners to improve their conversational speaking and listening skills in a fun\, supportive environment. It also helps participants build cross-cultural friendships with students from the U.S. and around the world. Meetings are every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 in the GUC (usually Room 200) and are open to all UNA students regardless of their English proficiency.  \nWe’d love to see some new faces this Spring! If you need a silent “Panic/Send Police” option\, you should download the Lion Alert 360 App to your smartphone\, which provides a “Call 911” button and a “Mobile BlueLight” feature. DESCRIPTION:Beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year\, the University will replace the traditional one-day fall break in October with two additional holiday closure days on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. This adjustment allows UNA to close for the full week of Thanksgiving and aligns our schedule with the prevailing practice at most universities. \nThis change was recommended by the Council of Academic Deans and approved by the Executive Council. The updated fall 2026 academic calendar is available on the UNA website.

DESCRIPTION:The Theta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has made great strides in pioneering new ways to engage both on campus and within the Shoals community.
