SUMMARY:Updated Information for 2026 Thanksgiving Break
DESCRIPTION:Beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year\, the University will replace the traditional one-day fall break in October with two additional holiday closure days on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. This adjustment allows UNA to close for the full week of Thanksgiving and aligns our schedule with the prevailing practice at most universities. \nThis change was recommended by the Council of Academic Deans and approved by the Executive Council. The updated fall 2026 academic calendar is available on the UNA website.

DESCRIPTION:The Theta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has made great strides in pioneering new ways to engage both on campus and within the Shoals community. The chapter has volunteered locally\, attended an out-of-state conference\, awarded a scholarship to a student\, and launched a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition\, members have hosted several campus events to give back\, including Pretty Boy Wednesday and Krimson Garden.
